It's the type of book I don't usually read, the type of book I wouldn't even pick up because it's 'heavy'. It's the type of book that would make you think, make you.. feel.

There's a reason I read chick-lit: it's light, it's easy to read, and they generally make you feel good. I stick to that stuff because, well, it makes me feel good. Because the world today seriously makes you feel the polar opposite of good.

But it was a gift, and so, out of curiosity, I read it. And to my surprise, I actually am beginning to like it.

It's sweet, in a sad, melancholic way. The main character dies, goes to 'heaven', and from there, she watches her family and those she loves go on with their lives. She witnesses all the drama unfold as her family breaks up, grows up, and eventually, does move on. She does too, in the end.

I should farking get back to that PolSci draft I'm trying to complete.

Why'd I get lost, you ask? In a moment of utter stupidity, I take the shuttle whose route says 'LRT TAFT BUENDIA' Now, you say, well duh, it's gonna go to Buendia then. But I thought it was going to pass by EDSA. Stupid me didn't realize this until we were halfway there, and I'm like, what in the world. Because we get off in the middle of the road (I tell you, this only happens in the Philippines, wherein you have to play patintero with jeeps, buses and other forms of transportation in a highway), and for a moment, I'M FRICKEN LOST. So I follow the person nearest to me, and he heads toward the sidewalk. I follow him, and I'm like, WHERE'S THE LRT?! So I finally got my head out of the rut it's been in for the last 15 minutes or so and finally get on the LRT.

So then I go transfer to the MRT, because I have to meet my mum for dinner, and I was running late. There was this girl that practically hit my chest as she was going in and I was like, WTF GIRL WHERE'S THE SORRY?! So I wait for it, and when it didn't come I went "My boobs man; excuse you" and she throws me this extremely harrassed look as she passes me. I kept on glaring at her throughout the ride. Hahaha.

As usual, tons of people were riding the MRT, and I had to wrestle (more like elbow) my way out, throwing people a nasty look while doing so. And so heading into Shang, I notice people were looking down into EDSA. So curious me decides to ask a random, pregnant woman what all the fuss was about. She answers, with an extremely light tone, 'May tumalon daw na babae eh' and I reply with 'Oh? May katawan po ba?' And she shakes her head, saying 'Di ko tinignan eh' all the while rubbing her extremely big tummy.

I decided to take a look it myself, but didn't see anything. I WAS HOPING FOR GREY MATTER. Hahaha. Too bad.

Anyway, a boring day; only class we had was Philo. OMGOODNESS I PASSED PHILO. YES YES YES. I could've cried, y'know. Hahaha. From a 60 / 100 it became 70/100. Darned Xs and Os got to me. And I'm happy my crappy second Toulmin's got a 5. Hahaha.

Our exam was moved an hour later. But even so, Philo sucked me dry. Sucked my blood, my brains dry. I SWEAR. The exam was an hour long. An HOUR. That hour flew by so fast, I tell you.

My second Toulman's Argument (?) sucked hard. Because only 10 more minutes remained, and I was like, WTF 10?! So I RUSHED. Then Sir Kiko comes in and announces a 15-minute extension. For a minute I felt relieved-slash-pissed. Cause if I knew there was gonna be an extension, I wouldn't have rushed the argument.

Instead, I focused on the bonus question: make a first tier argument based on the claim: Love is logical. I focused on that.

I HOPE I PASS. I don't want my all-nighter to be in vain. ToT
