I feel truly sorry for myself that I haven't seen any pictures from the celebration but I've seen some. ESPECIALLY THE TVXQ FLY ONE. OMGSH CASSIOPEIA IS THE BEST EVAAAAAAARR.
These are the times when I feel truly touched as a fan. When you know that you're not alone and that there are other (more like a million others. CASSIOPEIA FTW.) people that love them as much as you do and somehow, you can all get along just because of that one simple thing.
Honestly, I didn't know I'd like them this much. Cause first time I heard about them I laughed. Srsly. I was like, UKnow?? Hero?? Micky?? What kind of names are those??? Plus what kind of name's XIAH???
The whole Korean boyband concept got to me too, so I promptly brushed them off. If I didn't like the Backstreet Boys, how could I like them?
But Balloons (and O. And Rising Sun. And My Destiny.) and Changmin's antlers got to me the minute I saw them. There was a part of me that was in denial at first, that said, Nina nooooo. Not them, noooooo~ This'll be like, a flavor of the day thing for you.
They have proved me wrong, obviously.
I can still remember the first five TVXQ songs I downloaded: My Destiny, O, HiYaYa, Balloons, and Miss You.
I can remember the reaction I had when I found out Yunho had been poisoned (that was a gasp of outrage), when Jaejoong had the DUI case (that was an echoing noooo throughout the whole day I found out), and when I first got my hands on the First and Second Storybooks, first and second singles, and their first album: an outright scream. And I can definitely remember where I first got those: in school, when we asked for them from a Korean friend. I literally ran across the classroom to get them. Chemistry was our first subject and I was bugging my Korean seatmate (who was a hater, but has now silenced his hate in light of my reactions. ie, glaring at him, punching him, not giving him answers during seatworks) to translate them while taking down notes regarding Mendeleev and the octet rule.
I've prolly watched every single variety show they've been on, and they honestly never fail to make me laugh. It's one of the things I love most about them: they're real people, and you can see and feel that. People say that you can't know someone by watching them on the TV or on YouTube. Try telling that to the odd-million Cassies around the world.
My iPod is filled with their songs. A whole playlist is dedicated to them, and the top played songs is too. Just in case youy're interested, my top played is O, which I've listened to (apparently) 400++ times already. The songs just get to me, especially the ballads. The vocals are just amazing (:
Course, all these and a million little things combined to convert me (that, and the Jaejoong v Changmin Dangyunhaji game on X-Man).
The humility despite the triumph, the strength despite the countless obstacles they've encountered, and the unmistakeable bond. All those combined to pull me in and I'm in no hurry to get back out.
It's kinda weird how I keep on seeing commercials here where they actually mention the names. Like, "people like Whopper more than Big Mac" kinda like that. I hope you got what I was trynna say. Haha.
At last I have internet. Am using a Sony Vaio. Oh my, oh my. Hahahaha. A white one. I wanted the red but my mum insisted on the white one.

It's freezing here in San Fancisco. Srsly. The roads have slicked over with ice. I should know. The driveway's coated with it.
It was a long flight. I was feeling kinda sick throughout the 11 hours we were onboard the plane. NO STOPOVERS. It was frapping direct flight. ToT

I literally squealed when I saw kpop on the in-flight entertainment system. No TVXQ, so wasn't really ecstatic, but still. WG! 8DD Hahaha. The radio station I chose (Seoul Grooves. Get the pun? So many movies too. 8D I watched Tropic Thunder, Mamma Mia, A Very Special Love (can you believe they have that there? LOL.) and Get Smart.
It's the first time I've ever used a heater. HEATERS EVERYWHERE. Literally. From the electric blanket, to this heat dish. Srsly.
Anyway. 8D I'm pressuring my mum to take us to Japantown soon. Hoho.

Oh this is priceless. Priceless, I tell you. Where else can you find marriage proposals by TVXQ other than the internet? LOLOLOL. This seriously made me laugh. Apparently, Changmin and Yoochun are somehow involved with me, and it's been 5 years since Junsu and I have been sth. Yes, it's Junsu who wrote that.
IT'S LOLZ I TELL YOU. The stuff in the brackets? It kinda says marry me. Feel free to try it out yourself -- marriage proposals by TVXQ!
This may seem completely delusional and deranged (which it actually is, but whatever) but it's fun. Seriously. Try it and it'll give a laugh (:
And it gets even better, srsly. HAHAHAHA.
This time it's LOVE LETTERS. Oh yes. I'm not kidding.
I RESERVED MY 200TH POST FOR DUCKBUTT SU'S BIRTHDAAAAAY.
Because, well, it was his birthday and I wanted to do sth "special" since I can't do much more. ToT
Aish, click the image for a biiiiigger view. 8D Hahaha.
Yes, oppa. I wish(ed) you a very happy birthday and may God bless you with more oyagi gags, perseverance in learning more pseudo-Kenyan and letting all of us hear eu-kyang-kyang for more years to come.
Look, I'll admit I was a bit excited because it was my first ORun* after all. So our KOM prof was late, and we left class. We hung out at the library for awhile, with some of my blockmates finishing up their position papers in NSTP, and me feeling extremely inferior cause mine didn't even reach half a page. Anyway, we got readings for the same subject, and we left the library around 11.30, because it was NEARING ORUN TIIIIIME. Hahahaha.
So we meet up with Cindy and Dianne (WE LOVE YOU DIANNE! Condolences and we know your brother is in a better place) and Cha outside, with Cindy always getting a high everytime a certain prof of ours passes by. Oh Cindy, Cindy, Cindy. You may not have gotten your rose while he WAS in the run, but at least you got one. YOU HAVE NOTHING OVER BEL THO. :)) She got TWO roses, and at while they were running too.
So anyway, we go outside of the CAS building, on the parking lot (WE HAD A PRIME SPOT BTW. Like, stairs, and BOOM, there we were just across from the stairs where the run would come from) and we wait for the run to start, all the while laughing our heads off on Cindy jokes. Students inside would scream every once in a while, but still no run.
Around 12, screams start again, and this time, we're POSITIVE it's the run. Because you know giddy screams (girls and gays and boys alike. LOL) when you hear them. True enough, one of the frat members comes running down the RH steps with the frat's banner, and VOILA. Stark naked and running men follow him from behind, holding FARKING ROSES. They have masks over their heads but you knoooow. LOL.
I DIDN'T LOOK THERE. I was kinda scandalized, in fact. I looked away. I SWEAR.
The run finishes, and we think it's over. But people aren't moving, so we were like, there's MORE???! YES THERE WAS MORE. Another round around the CAS buildings, and this time they're WALKING. So we were okaaaaay. Please speed it up a bit, kthanksbye.
The run finishes, and we eat lunch.
Then I join a rally. Srsly. MY FIRST RALLY. I mean, I dunno why, but I kinda tagged along. I dunno, to seal my deal as a true-blue UP student? Whatever. But I kinda missed screaming my head off so I enjoyed.. well, screaming. Hahaha.
But getting to the rally itself was hellish. Seriously. At first, it started out okay, what with us taking a bus to the actual site of the rally, but we got off at this location, REALLY FAR from where the site actually was. So we walk, and walk.
And along the way, we spot POLICE. TRUCKS PASSING BY WITH SOLDIERS IN THEM. FIRETRUCKS. And I was like, oh farking brilliant. Please don't let anything happen while I'm in this rally. Thankfully nothing did, but I was tired. I seriously was.
So many firsts for such a short day. Haha.
Anyway, I got home in one peace. My body hurts all over, thanks to PE and walking such long distances. ToT

Apparently it was the OB fair earlier. I asked Trixie if she was going but said she wasn't, cause she had a frog along with her. Hahahaha.
Can someone pleeeeaaaaase beg Sir Kiko to push back the midterms? PLEASE.
Yesterday I thought it was a good thing. Partly because supermarkets weren't crowded and roads weren't clogged.
But now, I'm not so sure. Apparently our Philo prof is pro-del Hoya and isn't too happy with Pacquiao winning. You'd think a lawyer educated in UP would have some pride in a fellow Filipino winning and getting recognition overseas, but noooo. So we're going to have a quiz cause of that.
And I DIDN'T KNOW. I didn't hear anything about Sir Kiko giving a quiz if Pacquiao won.

So we accomplished that, and off we were to what was supposed to be lunch and a free period -- but then we get a text from Sir Ponsi saying we had an ACLE to attend during Anthro free period, and this would be equivalent to our attendance in NSTP this coming Wednesday.
The ACLE was a short one though, no more than 15 minutes. So really, it was a free period.
This whole time, we were trying to finish our flipping Philo homework, and we were dreading the possibility of having our names called to explain why we connected the philosophers like we did.
But we get a text from Sir Kiko, saying there WAS NO PHILO! Cause there was this TLP thing he had to go attend to.
And so there goes a total waste of day. But whatever. Haha.
AH (: Had an early dismissal from Sir Kiko earlier.
Lucky Angela escaped unscathed from Philo earlier. PSH. She scurried away to Rob after class to watch Eheads but alas. It wasn't showing anymore. xD
Despite the early dismissal, prof left us with a homework. He had us give a philosopher each (which was a relief, because all of us didn't want to go through "recitation"), and we were all. Okay. That's faaaan.
And boom. After we finish giving our philosophers, he goes "make a food web of sorts out of all these. It's due on Friday" And I was like, what? BUT I STIL COULDN'T FORGET THAT. It was like I had this internal camera take a picture that had frozen what he looked like when I saw him.
You prolly won't want to see the rest of the text messages betwen Trixie and I. On the rare occasions I curse, you'll know something happened. Such as this.
What was I doing in GH anyway? Well, my mum and I were waiting for my sister, who by the way, left her little gimmick at 12 am.
WHAT PROPER 10-YEAR OLD GOES HOME AT 12?! NONE. Because they aren't PROPER 10 YEAR OLDS.
So I had to suffer, waiting, surrounded by noise, cigarette smoke and giddy high schoolers who looked nothing like such.
I saw a bunch of old faces too. Excluding o1. Crap. I can't believe I'm typing that again.
There was Lester, Arvin, Mackenzie, Sir Capistrano (who remembered me, YAY. He too, went home around 12) and a bunch of juniors who are now seniors.
Anyway, that was my Friday night for youu~
May I say I'm hooked on Criminal Minds? 8Dv Hoho~ Spencer makes me laugh. Such a nerd.
Hello, my name is Nina and I like doing the daily crossword, Photoshopping and singing my heart out, although by no means am I good at any of the aforementioned activities.
